Zack Snyder, director of the hit 2004 remake of Dawn Of The Dead, clearly has something of a blood-lust, as the trailer for his new movie 300, a sword n’ sandals epic with a fantastical twist, shows. The film stars Glaswegian Gerard Butler (last on the big screen as the Phantom Of The Opera), and though it isn’t released until March next year, it’s already gaining momentum online and in Hollywood.

The thing that’s really interesting about this movie is that it continues in the vein of last year’s Sin City, using a lot of green-screen and computer-generated imagery to create a completely unreal and entirely unique look.
