Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm not one of those people that automatically thinks Nicolas Cage is a horrible actor. He's done some shitty, shitty movies, but he's also done some great projects, and has been good in them. LEAVING LAS VEGAS, RAISING ARIZONA, FACE/OFF (sue me, I love that flick), ADAPTATION, THE ROCK, WILD AT HEART, MOONSTRUCK to name a few.
Having said that, I'm glad he's left the Brian De Palma prequel, THE UNTOUCHABLES: CAPONE RISING. He had to drop the project due to scheduling issues.
I like Cage and give him credit as an actor, but I didn't like the casting of him as Capone. He just didn't feel right.
However, someone who does feel right is still on the project. Gerard Butler is still attached to the project, playing the character of Jimmy Malone, the younger version of Sean Connery's character from the original film.
Who do you see as a good Capone? Who could live up to DeNiro? Hrmm...
