One thing that should be mentioned -- just in case fans haven't caught on yet -- about 300 is that the film is based off of Frank Miller's fantastical retelling of the historic event and not the actual event itself. Therefore, the film will feature some creatures of fantasy including a hunchback and a giant.

300 Journal #8- The Creatures
The new video journal for 300 shows some of the make-up and effect work that went in to creating the fantastical creatures set to appear in the film; most notably the Hunchback and the Giant.

The hunchback we do see a couple times in the teaser trailer for 300, but I can't remember a single sighting of the giant yet. Though the Hunchback is easily the sloppiest looking of all the Spartans, he makes quite the opponent on the battlefield; and boy is he motivated

New movie stills for 300 should be coming this week.

300 opens to theatres on March 9th, 2007.
