It’s been on TV, it’s done the festival circuit, in that order, and now Mike Barker’s Butterfly on a Wheel, the title of which was changed to Shattered for the ADD afflicted audience, is finding it’s way onto DVD.
I wasn’t particularly thrilled with the movie which is an interesting, though not completely original, take on the revenge theme but it does have some pretty good performances from Maria Bello, Pierce Brosnan and the gorgeous Gerard Butler who is likely to, single-handedly, double DVD sales.
According to the good folks over at Movie Web, the DVD will include:
- Breaking Apart The Wheel Featurette
- Hero to Villain Featurette
- Audio Commentary with director Mike Barker and writer William Morrissey
- Deleted and alternate scenes
Admittedly, for the most part I wouldn’t bother with seeing this again but the dynamic between Barker and Morrissey is fantastic and the guys had what was easily the most entertaining Q&A at VIFF and I’m extremely curious to hear what sort of hot water they get themselves into with this commentary. I’ll be checking it for sure.
