THIS IS EMPIRE


No, I'm not Leonidas, king of the Spartans, but sometimes you
just wish you were, don't you? One look at the 300 trailer should tell you all you need to know about Zack
Snyder's rendering of the battle of Thermopylae, and we were lucky
enough to witness the slaughter first hand this week. You'll have to
wait for Empire's full review to find out what we thought, but suffice
it to say that no one (and I mean no one) knows what rock hard is
until they've seen Gerard Butler and 299 of his mates beat down the
entire Persian army with nought but spears and chafesome leather
codpieces. Seriously, the man is harder than a bag of diamond hammers
and could probably knock over a truck just by shouting at it. Scots
are the new Spartans, don't you know.
