At First Smell

Is there any such thing as love at first smell? When you look at someone daily can your feelings be swayed in a different way? Can you sense of smell make you have an epiphany? His cologne is driving me to the brink of insanity. I long for it. I can’t get it, him, out of my mind. The lingering sent drives my nerves into oblivion. Never before did this kind of things accured to me. And now, I only think about it. Why is sent such an important thing?

You can fall in live at first sight. Though, it is superficial. You fall only for the looks, not the brains or anyhting. You can fall for someone you only wrote to. But, then it’s, yet again misleading. You only know of a part of a persona, not a person. I’ve been thinking, way too much lately. The blind may have love at first touch. As the sight, touch is again very misleading. The only sense you cannot fall in love at first is taste. Or, you would be a dog! I cannot see myself going over to a man and licking him to see if there is anything worthy of pursuit.

Smell can be as misleading as all the other senses. For author Kate MacAllister, when a man smells nice it means a lot more than he is a clean man. ‘’... he’s deliberatly making himself attractive to me, because then he would have to acknowledge the reason behind his desire to have me make the first move... he smells nice... Men don’t normally smell nice. Either they’re overcologne or musky or sweaty or something, but he smells very nice which of course he knows women like.’’ Should we do like dogs and fallow our noses instead of our eyes? Is a smelly man in a dazzling package as attractive as a nice smelling one in a average package? If a man smells it may be a very very bad sign of what to come. Is it a good sign when a man smells nice? I guess so.

Do we fall for the actual smell or is there something else hidden in the sent? Pheromones? Acid? Mushrooms? What is it that makes us go gaga over a simple sent? Or, is it only a more basic instinct that pears through wanting to be unleashed? Our innate animal instinct our what makes us. But, our human brain acts as a barrier and policeman for our animal urges. When most animals mate for life, why can’y men do it to? Maybe if we trusted our animmal instinct more, we may be alot happier and content. Deep within, we can recognize at first smell the one meant for us?

Perhaps, there is such a thing as love at first smell. We just have to trust our instincts. They will never let us down! Can you trust a man who smells heavvenly? Most likely. You trust your doctor more than you trust your garbage man. You mostly fear the garbage man will run away with your trash cans. While the doctor literally hold your very like within his, hopefully, capable hands. Ponder this for a moment... Do you believe in love at first smell?
