Tough guy goes soft

HE MAY have a reputation as one of Hollywood's tough guys.
But yesterday Glaswegian-born actor Gerard Butler, 36, was anything but.
The 6ft 2in sex symbol was spotted coming out of Brown Thomas on Dublin's Grafton Street sporting a leather shoulder bag and at least five gift packages from the luxury fragrance shop Jo Malone while sipping on what appears to be a Frappuccino. Not so macho at all.
The Tombraider star has been in Dublin filming an adaptation of Cecelia Ahern's novel PS I Love You alongside Hilary Swank and Lisa Kudrow.
Miss Swank, 32, has the lead role in the film and plays a young widow who struggles to come to terms with her husband's (played by Butler) death.
And it seems likely his abundance of sweet smelling purchases are presents for his co-stars, as rumour has it that the film is wrapping in Dublin today before the cast head for New York.
Perhaps Miss Ahern will also receive a little Jo Malone gift as a thank you for creating the love story, giving Butler one of the lead roles?
