I actually don't have anything specific to say about this movie, except I noticed it was missing from the "Movie Talk" section...I thought I would take the liberty of starting this thread. Smile

Okay, I did think of something. I love the way Gerry looks in this film. So hot! And we get to hear his natural accent, so that's always a bonus. Very Happy

I love that bad boy with a good heart....well, we still don`t know how good his heart was, but he had a great edge! Laughing

Yes, Terry is definitely a complex character with an edge. Cool

***SPOILER ALERT***

For those of you who have the DVD and watched the special features, are you like me and prefer the altnernate ending where Terry is shot by the bad guy (sorry, can't remember his name)?

I can understand why they went with the final ending, but it would have been nice for Terry to have more of a heroic death, even though he was a "bad boy". Ah well...

Just curious about other people's opinions.

honestly, i really didn't like that ending. while it was sweet and touching and i did enjoy the performance of the actors and how it made terry seem nice, it was simply waaay too cheesy and would have only burdened the film with a 'bad script'. And though the ending that was kept in required the death of terry *sob* it was much more emotional/suspensful, and all in all, i think it helped with the ending.

and that ending also goes with what i said about the whole "terry vs bond girl". he needs to be a man, and with that ending, it didn't help his cause at all Razz

Yes, silvan, I see your point. The funny thing is, the first time I saw the movie, I didn't know who Gerry was so I was fine with the ending. I even thought Terry deserved to die!

It's only after I "discovered" Gerry, then went back and watched the film again, that I really cared about his character. Rolling Eyes

Yes, I'm sad. LOL!

well i saw TR2 after 'discovering' gerry Razz
thought it was great fun Smile

When i saw it, even though i'm a gerry fan (ok ok i might be a little biased) it seems terry isn't totally bad. I mean ok... he betrayed his country, he almost betraye laura, he was being selfish --sorta, but you could see the sincerity behind his eyes! plus that last bit with terry taking the box seemed a little bit out of character. dunno why i think that though *shrug*

and oh! i finished a fan vid :O! hope it's ok to link to gb.net Razz click here!

oooh, this is a neat feature....................terry!
