Thandie loves being the only girl on set

Thandie Newton is apparently relishing shooting Guy Ritchie's latest gangster movie - because all her co-stars are male.

The 34-year-old actress is starring on RocknRolla alongside Gerard Butler and Tom Wilkinson and loves the testosterone surge on set.

"It's great, I'm working with all these big men," she told the Daily Express. "It is fun and very interesting to have the chance to observe boys doing boy things. I am very much enjoying being the only girl."

She also revealed that she loves being directed by Madonna's hubby.

"He is so easy to work with," she said. "I think people who loved Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels will enjoy this movie - it carried on in the same vein but at the same time it's a departure for him."

The British director will be hoping for cinematic success after a run of flops.

His first two films were box office hits - but Swept Away, which starred his wife, was panned by critics and went straight to video and his follow-up Revolver was also a critical disaster.
