Duo strikes deal for distribution

Walden Media and 20th Century Fox have strengthened their bond, with Fox Licensing & Marketing named Walden's worldwide licensing agent.

Pact covers Walden pics that are distribbed under the Fox Walden banner, as well as films put out by Walden sister banner Bristol Bay Prods. ("Ray," "Amazing Grace").

Fox Licensing is repping a number of upcoming Walden pics at the annual Intl. Licensing Show, which got under way in Gotham Monday.

Film titles include "The Dark Is Rising," "Nim's Island," "City of Ember" and "The Tortoise & the Hippo," all of which will be released by Fox Walden.

Walden-Fox licensing deal doesn't cover Walden films previously set up at other studios, including the "Chronicles of Narnia" franchise at Disney.
